Support Center Representative - San Francisco, CA / Oakland, CA

About the Role :

InClassToday is looking for part-time employees to help make calls and respond to inquiries over the phone.   In this role, you will be responsible for communicating professionally and respectfully with callers, answering questions and providing callers with resources that will be given to you ahead of time. You will also be expected to log call information in a computer program that you will be taught to use during training sessions. We are looking for passionate, caring individuals who are interested in supporting students and families.

District Outreach & Sales Lead

About the Role

As a key member of our District Outreach & Partnership Team, you’ll play an invaluable role in InClassToday’s growth. You’ll source and build relationships with district leaders across the country. You will listen to their most pressing priorities and connect them to InClassToday’s solutions, broadening our reach and increasing our impact. You’ll strengthen our connection with existing partners by expanding programs from pilots to multi-year commitments. We’ll count on you to continually refine your sales methods and collaborate with colleagues to share best practices. This is a critical role for the company and one best suited to a persistent, self-motivated person with strong political instincts and business judgment.

Must have:

  • A drive to support public school students and families throughout the country

  • A successful track record selling products, policies, or partnerships in a complex, regulated environment. (You might have exceeded your large enterprise SaaS sales quota, have a stellar policy advocacy track record or have forged critical strategic alliances.)

  • The ability to source leads, close deals and build lasting relationships with district partners

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

  • A knack for thinking on your feet, anticipating needs and overcoming objections

  • Persistence in both your infectious enthusiasm and your follow up

  • A willingness to travel 20-40% of your time to meet with clients

Nice to have:

  • Experience with K-12 education and an understanding of challenges faced by the classroom teacher, principal, and district administrator

  • Experience in education policy or K-12 district-level sales

  • Experience with Challenger, Solution or Consultative sales approaches

  • Experience in SaaS sales with $100K+ ACV and a quota of $1M+

  • Desire and ability to coach and mentor other members of the sales team

Data Analyst

About the Role

This position focuses on all things data, with the bulk of the work being randomization and analysis of large-scale field experiments conducted in school districts across the country. Data come from school district student information systems, and analysts are responsible for cleaning, manipulating, and managing all data in a secure and timely manner. The Data Analyst position is an excellent opportunity for those interested in growing into a senior position, or eventually pursuing advanced degrees, particularly in quantitative fields. Past employees of ICT cofounder Todd Rogers (a professor at Harvard) have gone on to earn higher degrees (e.g., MBA, MPP, and PhD) at universities including Harvard, Chicago, Yale, Penn, and Stanford. This role has the option to be either part- or full-time.

Must have:

  • Experience managing, analyzing, and manipulating large datasets

  • Experience handling sensitive data securely

  • Proficiency using statistical software (R or Stata strongly preferred)

  • Attention to detail

  • Strong communication and writing skills

  • Ability to learn new skills quickly on the job

  • Excellent statistical analysis skills, preferably with a focus on randomized field experiments

  • Ability to work with a small, diverse, and highly collaborative research team

  • Strong understanding of experimental design

  • Comfort in, and familiarity with, K-12 schools and colleges are a plus but not required

  • Proficient with Amazon EC2 a plus

  • BA/BS degree.

Nice to have:

  • Programming (e.g. Python, Ruby, Perl) skills

  • Past experience with K-12 education and an understanding of challenges faced by the classroom teacher, principal, and district administrator

Head of Special Projects (San Francisco Bay Area)

About the Role: This role is designed for a high-performance generalist who is looking to make a big impact at an early-stage, mission-driven company. S/he will work directly with InClassToday’s CEO, Emily Bailard, and the rest of the team to manage all operations needed for a fast-growing, student success-oriented start-up. Over time we expect this person to shift around to lead efforts in a multitude of leadership and client-facing roles.

Initial responsibilities will involve a combination of:

  • Writing and editing internal and external documents

  • Researching school district needs and educational market opportunities

  • Supporting investor relations

  • Assisting with hiring

  • Supporting legal and accounting requirements

  • Communicating with district leaders and staff

  • Supporting the innumerable other projects that present themselves when there is no team in place to handle them

Must have:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple work streams and timelines at the same time

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve

  • Ability to work with a diverse, fast-growing, geographically spread, and collaborative team

  • A drive to support public school students and families throughout the country

Nice to have:
