Senior Data Analyst
About the Role
As Senior Data Analyst with InClassToday, your primary responsibilities will be analyzing student attendance data for our school district partners in order to deliver our Absence Reports program and to help our partners make data-informed decisions about their broader portfolio of attendance strategies.
The role of the Data Analyst begins with the receipt of data from a school district partner’s student information system (SIS). From this initial data export, the analyst is responsible for cleaning the data, manipulating it such that it aligns with our data spec, analyzing it to identify students who would benefit from an Absence Report, and coding the data to populate the most effective content onto individualized Absence Reports.
The Data Analyst is also responsible for monitoring and evaluation of the Absence Reports program, including providing frequent program monitoring information and working with the Program Management team to provide mid-year and end-of-year impact evaluation reports to each of our District Partners. As we work to systematize our monitoring and evaluation process, the Data Analyst will play a major role in designing impact evaluation reports that help our district partners understand the extent to which our program is helping us accomplish our goals.
Finally, the rest of the team will rely on your expertise as our in-house data expert, and will seek your guidance on all data-related issues, from ways to improve our data-to-reports pipeline to the most effective ways to communicate program data to our district partners. One near-term project will be working closely with our engineering team to automate our report production process. In short, in addition to playing a critical role in the production of Absence Reports, you will also play a major part in shaping how data analysis fits in to InClassToday as our organization grows.
Experience managing, analyzing, and manipulating large datasets
Experience handling sensitive data securely
Proficiency using both Stata and R
Excellent statistical analysis skills, preferably with a focus on randomized field experiments
Attention to detail and strong communication and writing skills
Ability to learn new skills quickly on the job
Ability to work with a small, diverse, and highly collaborative research team
Strong understanding of experimental design
Nice to have:
Experience leading and managing teams, particularly with remote members
Past experience with student level attendance data and student information systems
Monitoring and evaluation experience
Programming (e.g. Python, Ruby, Perl) skills
Past experience with K-12 education and an understanding of challenges faced by the classroom teacher, principal, and district administrator
Past experience in Education Technology

About the Role
As a Program Manager, you will be a critical member of our Client Success Team, working to take our district partners from “we just signed up with InClassToday” to “InClassToday has helped us reduce absenteeism and increase learning time.” As the primary point of contact between InClassToday and our District Partners, you will strengthen our connection with current partners and forge relationships with senior leaders at new district clients. You will project manage the launch process for each of your districts, and advise them on how to get the most out of our absenteeism reduction program. Within InClassToday, you will serve as a “voice of the customer,” ensuring that our work supports district needs and responds to district feedback, and you will work across our team to ensure that each district partner’s program meets their goals.
This is a critical role for our team, best suited to a capable communicator who can rally multiple stakeholders around a common goal while also managing details of multiple projects at once. The ideal Program Manager has the ability to make difficult calls, follow through, and get results, and is driven by a desire to make a real impact in education.
Project-manage program launches with new district partners, identifying and communicating with critical school district stakeholders
Partner with districts to ensure InClassToday delivers outcomes that meet their goals
Design and manage a system of outreach to district partners throughout the year, including providing program monitoring and end-of-year impact reporting to district partners
Expand relationships and secure renewals with existing district partners, contributing to InClassToday’s near-perfect renewal rate
Cultivate strong and lasting relationships with district leaders, becoming a trusted adviser on matters related to absenteeism and attendance strategies more broadly
Creatively problem solve when difficult situations arise, helping clients and internal team members to resolve program delivery challenges
A drive to support public school students and families throughout the country, and a passion for improving student outcomes
Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail and meeting deadlines
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience working with multiple stakeholders to achieve an objective, frequently communicating about project goals, timeline, and current status
Experience building strong relationships with clients or stakeholders

Director, District Sales and Partnerships

As a key member of our District Outreach & Partnership Team, you’ll play an invaluable role in InClassToday’s growth. You’ll source and build relationships with district leaders across the country. You will listen to their most pressing priorities and connect them to InClassToday’s solutions, broadening our reach and increasing our impact. You’ll strengthen our connection with existing partners by expanding programs from pilots to multi-year commitments. We’ll count on you to continually refine your sales methods and collaborate with colleagues to share best practices. This is a critical role for the company and one best suited to a persistent, self-motivated person with strong political instincts and business judgment.
A drive to support public school students and families throughout the country
A successful track record selling products, policies, or partnerships in a complex, regulated environment. (You might have exceeded your large enterprise SaaS sales quota, have a stellar policy advocacy track record or have forged critical strategic alliances.)
The ability to source leads, close deals and build lasting relationships with district partners
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
A knack for thinking on your feet, anticipating needs and overcoming objections
Persistence in both your infectious enthusiasm and your follow up
A willingness to travel 20-40% of your time to meet with clients
Nice to have:
Experience with K-12 education and an understanding of challenges faced by the classroom teacher, principal, and district administrator
Experience in education policy or K-12 district-level sales
Experience with Challenger, Solution or Consultative sales approaches
Experience in SaaS sales with $100K+ ACV and a quota of $1M+
Desire and ability to coach and mentor other members of the sales team
